Shri Dakshin Kali Mandir

At the foothills of Blue Mountain (Neel Parvat), Hardwar (also called Chandi Pahar) is Kajari forest & by its side flows the “Neel Dhara” (Blue stream) of Ganges and located beside is the temple of Mother Goddess Dakshina Kali which is first “Siddhapeeth” (a centre of spiritual energy). This is the sacred place where since time immemorial world’s greatest Mahakali Sadhaks have worshipped the Mother Goddess and have obtained spiritual glory and Nirvana. It is also known in Devi Bhagvat as Shyamapeeth, yogini hridayam, kal kalpataru and is mentioned in Kulanarv Tantra as” Kamraj Kut Peeth”. Also in” Kali Hriday Kavach” Lord Shiva had instructed “Goddess Uma” to worship and meditate at this”Shyama Peeth”. The temple is located near Brahmakund and it is said that during “samudra manthan” nectar fell here and after consuming poison(halahal a deadly poison which came out as a part of churning of ocean) Lord Shiva had his bath at this neel dhara of Ganges which became blue after cooling down the lord.

And by the side of this Brahmakund and Neel dhara resides the holy mother Goddess Dakshina Kali and she blesses her devotees from here.

Currently at this Siddhapeeth spread across 33 acres of land in Chandi Ghat the 71st Peethadhiswar Mahant Shri Kailashnand Brahmachari Ji is running the services wrt Anna Bhog,Goshala(cowshed),Old age home, holy remedial centre, Vedic school, services to sages and various events and pooja-archana(worshipping-holy chanting) is carried out. He succeeded Shri Shri Sureshanand Brahmachari (disciple of Mahant Bapu Gopalanandji Maharaj). During the month of Zestha Saptami of shukla paksh as per Hindu calendar “Baba Kamraj Maharajji’s” birthday is celebrated with much fervour & gaiety here. Also in the month of Shravan everyday “Maharudra Abhishek” is carried out. “Vam Margia parampara” popularly known as reverse path of sacred worship of “Mother Goddess Dakshina Kali” who is housed and worshipped here since time immemorial. It is said that Mother Goddess had directly instructed Kamraj Baba to lay the foundation of her “own idol” in this temple as per tantric rites. The speciality of this temple lies in the fact that it is said Mother Goddess Dakshina Kali and Kamraj Baba still show up to their select devotees at the 3rd and 4th Prahar of the night to bless them.(day and night is divided into eight prahar of 3 hours each).

It is said that the founder of this temple his holiness SHRI SHRI KAMRAJ BABA who is also famous as an immortal Guru left this temple in the hand of his disciple Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Brahamchari ji on the Hindu calendar month and date of Zestha Shukla Saptami(1219) and disappeared saying he is going on pilgrimage. It is said Kamraj Baba is the eighth longest living sage and resides in this premise alongwith Mother Goddess. He is also considered as an avatar of Lord Shiva. It is also said that the famous priest of Kolkata’s Maa Kali temple of Dakshineshwar “Shri Shri Ramakrishna Paramhansa” is a disciple of “Shri Totapuri Maharaj” who meditated here and is again a direct disciple of Kamaraj Baba Maharaj. Even world famous founder of Tarapith Shri Shri Bama Khepa is also said to have got his initiation as a disciple from Kamaraj Baba who then established “SAMSAN KALI”. Baba Nagpal ji Maharaj of Chattarpur Mandir, near Delhi who established Devi Katyayani Peeth is also a disciple of Kamraj Baba. Famous for “Ten Maha Vidya’s” Bablu Khepa of Kamakhya peeth Assam and so is Swami Datiyavale who built temple of Maa Bagulamukhi is all but disciple of Kamraj Baba. And we know our own Gurudev Bhakta Baba (Shri Shri Bimalanandji Maharaj) also got the spiritual lessons of Shakto (worshipper of Goddess Shakti), Shaiva (worshipper of God Shiva) and Tantra (a special meditation & ritualistic practice) from his holiness Shri Shri Kamraj Baba.
